Flight Training,
Fun, Safety, and Exceptional Cirrus Maintenance

FLIGHT
TRAINING

You know the saying, it’s all about attitude? Well now it’s all about altitude! Your altitude!

You might have been putting off getting your private pilot license forever. It might be time now for you to go from fantasy to fantastic and learn to fly.

Your license will open up a whole new world of fun and adventure when you experience the thrill of “getting there” is more than just mere travel; these are only words, you have to experience the Cirrus lifestyle to you know the feeling.

Or you might need to dust the rust off of your pilot license; you’ve forgotten just how much fun and exhilaration flying is and you need a shot of altitude to restore meaning to your life!

The planes you fly in with us are no run of the mill aircraft; you’ll fly in one of our new Perspective+ Cirrus SR20’s, the Lamborghini of private aircraft.

Or if you have your own aircraft we would love to work with you in it.

Either way, you’re in for some seriously fun “altitude adjustment!

Aircraft
Maintenance

At Scanlon Aviation, we don’t just “do maintenance.”

We service and repair all models of general aviation piston aircraft, including singles and light-twins.

As a Cirrus authorized and FAA Part 135 service center we maintain the kind of high standards that carries over to any and all the makes and models of aircraft we maintain.

The maintenance your aircraft receives from us often “prevents” you from having to do more expensive and extensive maintenance down the line.

About
Scanlon Aviation

Scanlon Aviation was founded in 2006 by Patrick Scanlon as an extension of his love for aviation and his dedication to provide safe, affordable air charter service throughout California, Oregon, and Nevada.

Recently, Cirrus Aircraft designated the excellence of Scanlon Aviation as a Platinum Cirrus Training Center.

Patrick is a FAA certificated commercial, instrument rated pilot. He is certified and specializing in Cirrus aircraft training and has a perfect safety record in over a decade of air charter experience.

Robert Tarleton, a former airline pilot and Silicon Valley tech entrepreneur, is the lead flight instructor with 25 years of flight instruction. Robert brings a background of professionalism and attention to service that carries over to every one of his students.

We use the high-performance Cirrus SR20 G6 in most all of our operations since the Cirrus has equipment similar, and in some cases, superior to that found in many commercial airliners.

The Cirrus can carry up to five passengers, in addition to the pilot, in safe, comfortable, efficient flight.

We’re conveniently based at Marin County Airport (Gnoss Field) in Novato just off Highway 101. We have plenty of free parking available just steps away from your waiting aircraft.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Scanlon Aviation was established with a couple of things in mind, true customer service that grows out of our love of flight.

As an owner operated flight school and air charter company, we require that our own aircraft receive superior quality, efficient aircraft servicing and maintenance consistent with FAA required proper documentation.

Our passion for aviation feeds the kind of service we provide. It’s this desire to serve that drives our commitment to provide a quality experience for every one of our customers who entrusts their aircraft to Scanlon Aviation Maintenance Center.

Your aircraft will be treated as if it is one of our own because, as is said in aviation, “we’d feel perfectly safe letting our mother fly in it!”
